00:00:00 John Daub: Check it out. Hey everybody. Look at this. These are some Pikachu chefs. And if you're wondering where we are, we're at the Pokémon Cafe. So far, we're one of the first people to enter. This is up on the fifth floor in the Takashimaya building in Nihonbashi (Tokyo), which is really cool. Oh, check it out. All the Pokémon. Little Pikachus. That's a lot of Pikachus.

00:00:42 John Daub: Today Kanae Daub and I are celebrating our six-month anniversary right here. I don't know why here. It's just a fun place. We're gonna order some food. They have a Pokémon Halloween theme. Whoa, that's really cool. All right, guys, let's go take a look at the food here. A lot of tourists come up here. You can see this is the main table. Check it out. The menus are done by iPads. So you just kind of order from the kitchen over there. You see? I guess Pikachu's back there cooking for us.

00:01:39 John Daub: And joining me in this report is this woman who needs no introduction. Kanae is hungry, I hope. She's very hungry. Alright, let's take a look at this menu. As I said, in the Pokémon Cafe, the menu is done by iPad, which is pretty cool. So you order through here. What do you guys think? We're live from the Takashimaya building here in Tokyo at the Pokémon Cafe. There's lots of food here. Let's look at the recommended menu.

00:02:18 John Daub: Tango my mango. Thank you, I love your channel. So Kanae Daub, you want this one, right? Oh, you already ordered it! You're fast! So Kanae's getting the Pikachu plate. And the Halloween dish. And then the Pikachu plate, right? Yeah, I think I'm gonna get the Pikachu curry because it looks pretty cool. That's about $13 for that, by the way. Pretty good. There's also the Pikachu carbonara. Carbonara is like a pasta sauce. And the Eevee chicken burger. That looks pretty cool. What do you guys think?

00:03:19 Kanae Daub: Did you want to get a coffee?

00:03:21 John Daub: Yeah. I can go for this Pikachu latte hot. Do they have just black coffee? No? Alright, they have one with a marshmallow. No, you get the mug. Yeah, you get to keep the mug. The mug is a thousand yen, or about nine dollars. So we're just gonna get two of these, right? Yeah, we can order Pikachu one, and one Eevee latte. Oh, you want an Eevee latte? Okay. Alright, we can order one of these. And then an Eevee latte. You don't need to keep the glass, right? Alright, you're not gonna keep the mug. Whoa, that's like all of a sudden it's like forty dollars. You gotta be kidding me. Forty dollars? This better be good. Alright, order it, Kanae Daub. Order.

00:04:19 John Daub: Alright, Kanae Daub has ordered. It's on the way. Hey guys, hope you enjoy yourself. This is from Cassie. Love seeing both of you smiling faces. I think that Eevee and Pikachu will be making an appearance. They usually do, apparently, according to the website and all the other posts that people have done. So when Pikachu and Eevee make an appearance in the kitchen, we're gonna bring you that live. This is gonna be really exciting, so stick with us. It might take a little time for the food. We wanted to put the food order in right away so we can get to the eating, and then to the fun. Stick with us for the entire time, and we're gonna have some adventures here at the Pokémon Cafe.

00:05:21 John Daub: This is Pokémon Cafe water. How is it? It's the same. The Pokémon water is not any different. Oh, that's cute. Yeah, we can bring this home. Oh, this is free? Yeah. Can you see? So you get to take that home for free. What's on the back? No. Okay. It says here you're limited to... You have to make a reservation. Some information here. You have to make a reservation a month in advance. In order to come here, I had to make a reservation about a month in advance because I wanted to get an early time. The reservation, I thought it would open at 10 AM, but it actually opens at 10:30. Now, when you first come in, the seat is for 90 minutes from the time of the reservation. So our seat reservation was from 10:40. We have 90 minutes to sit here. And after 90 minutes, we gotta get out. They say that because people will stay here like all day if they don't do that. It's clearly listed. The seat is for 90 minutes from the time of the reservation. The last order is 30 minutes before.

00:06:56 John Daub: Oh, check it out. We got Pokemon in a coffee cup. Now, it is a cafe and I was expecting some black coffee, but everything is a latte here. It's kind of vanilla. I don't know. It's like watered down coffee. No black coffee here. It's a shame. I'm kidding. I need some strong coffee. It's still early. Pikachu Chef. Oh, there. Oh, you want to get your picture? Let's get our picture over there. Kanae Daub, go over here and sit over here. Hey, Faye. Good morning. Me and the wifey are here. Thank you to Joe as well. If you guys want to get a screenshot, Kanae Daub and I are going to go over here and take a picture.

00:07:52 John Daub: Check it out. So you can sit here and get a picture. So Kanae Daub and I are going to go over there and take a picture. You ready, Kanae Daub?

00:09:03 John Daub: Wow. Can I? Wow. That looks so good. Whoa. So that's a Pikachu. Wait, it's like an omurice, right? Yeah. Underneath there is rice. Underneath Pikachu's face. And this is like a hamburger, right? Yeah, it's hamburger. Wow. And there's some deep fried shrimp. Salad. Awesome. Hey, Nosh. Nosh abroad's in the house. Thank you, Nosh. We appreciate it. Take a close look at the Pikachu omelette. It's carrots for the cheeks. Chips for the ears. The hat's really cool. I like the vegetables in there. It adds a really good color. This is just for Halloween, everybody, by the way. And she looks happy with this.

00:10:17 John Daub: Alright, you gotta wait for me. And she wants to take a photo. So we're gonna eat this in a minute. Just give us a little bit of time. It's photo time. Smile.

00:12:30 John Daub: Wait. I can't do it. Can you say it in Japanese? No, I'm sorry. It's okay. I'm sorry. What's wrong, Pikachu? Pikachu's cute. Yeah. I'm sorry. Is this chocolate? Are you making it with this? Here? Thank you. Check it out. Alright, here we go. Oh, the curry is here! Thank you! Thank you. Thank you very much!

00:13:27 Kanae Daub: So cute!

00:13:40 John Daub: Oh yeah? I picked this one. It's a coffee with a little bit of cocoa on top. Wow! Oh, we can choose? Which one do you want? This one? I choose this one. We won? We won something! Awesome!

00:14:47 John Daub: Kanae Daub's gonna choose now. Did you win? Kanae Daub won. Are there actually any losers I wonder? You can't be a loser when you come here. Thank you! You won! Thank you! Yay! What did you win? Let's check it out. Oh, look, that's cute! Yeah! Oh, we got a matching set. Yay! Yeah, one for blue, one for red. Cool! Alright, let's see your Eevee. This is the Pikachu coffee. Let's see your Eevee. Turn her around. Oh, that's cute! I like the handle. That's very cute. And the cocoa is starting to melt. He looks like a panda. But that's still really cute. The coffees are about $7. $7.50 each. But it is a cafe. You're not gonna come here every day.

00:15:54 John Daub: This is the omurice from behind. This was $13.50. And this was about $12.50. It's a little pricey, but I think it's fun. How often do we come into the Pokémon Cafe for our six-month anniversary? Maybe for the one-year anniversary we might spice it up and do something a little bit more special. But I'm still waiting for Pokémon and for Pikachu and Eevee to make their appearance. Apparently they will make a showing. And the cafe is really not that crowded. I recommend that you come in the morning. Yeah, we gotta take a photo. Alright, we gotta take some photos for Instagram. Listen, if you guys see Pikachu or Eevee behind us, sneaking up on us, let us know, okay? Don't not let us know. You have to let us know.

00:17:11 John Daub: Let's do this. What? With camera? You're gonna eat Pikachu with camera? Yeah. Of course I am. Alright guys, here we go. Let's try this. Alright, Kanae Daub, you wanna try yours first? Yeah. How does it taste? Cheers. Cheers. Oh. Cheers. Cheers. Mmm. That's pretty good. It's good. Yeah. Is it good? It's good. I like it. It's good. You like it. It's good. Go ahead. It's good. It's good. Mmm. Oh, are you gonna cut his face now? Yeah. Oh, Kanae Daub's gonna cut. Alright, Kanae Daub's gonna cut the face. Alright, hold on a second. Kanae Daub, wait, wait. Alright, do it. I feel bad. You feel bad? Yeah. It's really bad. Let him have it. Alright, go ahead. You can go ahead. Let him have it. You lost an eye! That's so cool! Not the face! No, Kanae Daub went right for the face! Kanae Daub, that's so not nice! How could you do that? Poor Eevee! R.I.P. It's Pikachu! Rest in peace, Pikachu.

00:19:29 John Daub: How is it? Is it good? Can you show us the inside? Turn it around. I think a lot of people are curious. Oh, so it is omurice, so they put in some tomato sauce or ketchup in there. So that's what's inside of Pikachu's head. For some kids, they're probably really freaking out right now. Like, oh no, Pikachu! Slightly traumatized. But you know. Poor Pikachu. Pikachu. Can I have an ear? Oh ho ho! That's what Pikachu's ear looks like. Let's try this. Yeah, is it ketchup, right? Ketchup. Alright. It's good! It's really good! Sometimes you're gonna have some kids here, they might be crying. It's alright. It's not really for adults. But yet it is. If it was for just kids, don't you think the price would be a little bit cheaper? I think this is meant for families. Usually with a father who has two jobs. But it's still a lot of fun.

00:21:11 John Daub: Poor Pikachu has had better days. If you're joining us in the middle of the livestream, I apologize for the traumatic effects that this might have on you or your children. This is Pikachu and his eye. Oh no! Sorry, Pikachu. Someone's gotta eat it. It's good! Oh, they also got the Pikachu curry rice. Check out the star! They put a lot of detail into this. They really did. I am digging the Pikachu latte. Personally, I wanted a dark Colombian coffee or some kind of roast of the day. Tough. I'll take a latte. They don't have any black coffee. And they don't have any alcohol on the menu either. So if you're thinking about come here for a Pikachu beer, not gonna happen.

00:22:50 John Daub: Wait! Whoa! So hold on a second. This is interesting. This is a kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) salad. That looks really good. Was it good? A pumpkin salad's pretty good. Oh yeah, we're ordering dessert. Shall we order the dessert now? Well, yeah! Alright, let's order the desserts. Cause it's gonna take time to come. Alright, what do we got here? Kanae Daub, how you feeling? This is thanks to Nosh, Chuuotaku, and Deborah. What? What? Wait a second. Hold on. Wait, what's that made out of? Hold on a second. Hold that up. What is that? What is this tail made out of? Amari, hudari, migi. Yeah, just hold it right there. Is that piman? That's a yellow pepper. So Pikachu's tail is made out of a yellow pepper. It's not pineapple. Alright, bon appétit. Down the hatch. Good? Alright.

00:24:20 John Daub: So what we have is a Mimikyu crepe. We have fruits pancake. We have an Eevee cafe. Oh, we missed it. Sweets. There's a Pikachu à la mode. That looks cute, but it looks like the curry rice. This one looks good, though. Check that out. What is that blue down there? Well, Kanae Daub, it's up to you. You're going for the cheesecake? This is the pudding cheesecake. Whoa. That looks kind of creepy, though. The Mimikyu crepe. Check it out. Oh, we lost it. Yeah. Oh no. Go for the cheesecake, then. It's slightly creepy. It looks like the Joker, but a Pikachu version of the Joker. Yeah, do it. Do it, Kanae Daub. Do it. Push it. Just order one, right? Yeah. I can't eat anymore. Maybe you ordered it already. It's offline? Oh, you can't do it? I can't eat. I think now is good. After food. I think now is good. Now. Really? Yeah, because... Okay.

00:26:11 John Daub: This is the potato star. Do you see that? Let's try this. I ordered. Mmm. Oh. That's a potato star. Oh, you got one too. Yeah, I have two. Good? That's the green pepper star. Yeah. It's like... The yellow is saffron, I think. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. You want to change? No. Alright, let's switch. So I'm giving her half, but I kind of ate more than half, but I'm bigger. That's how life works. Little kids, grow up big and strong and you can eat 60%. Ah, this is just so wrong, though. Two ears, one eye, and the hat was spiked into its brain. This is so Halloween. Oh man. Look at that brain matter. Is this edible? We're gonna find out. Yeah, it's edible. The brain matter tasted good.

00:28:20 John Daub: Kanae Daub did not eat the salad with the star. Salad is much more fun when it comes with a star and a spoon. I don't know. I just noticed that now. We are now dissecting Pikachu. Inside, ketchup rice. Little bit of rosemary. Probably not gonna be good with the Pikachu matter. Not bad. Not bad at all. Hey, Austin's in the house. Hey, Austin. Say hi to Austin, Kanae Daub. Yeah. Aloha, Austin. Austin's from Hawaii. Oh, and this is a nice view of the wooden paneling at the cafe. Sorry. So we have ordered dessert. It's on the way. I'm kinda saving the coffee for dessert. Which one is better, the curry or the omurice? It's difficult. I like curry. Oh, you like the curry? Really? Because easy to eat. That's good. Oh, daikon (Japanese radish). Yep. Mmm. This is good.

00:30:26 Kanae Daub: Yay!

00:30:30 John Daub: Yay! I'm saving room for the cheesecake. Give your wife all the vegetables and then you can eat more of the cheesecake because she's full. Now you're full and you can't eat the cheesecake, right? No. Cheesecake is not edible. No. I can't eat. My strategy did not work. Yet. Kids, if you don't finish everything on your plate, you can't have dessert. It's just that simple. Finish everything. Yep. Thank you. Now I can eat dessert.

00:32:13 John Daub: I like the plate. If you pay an extra thousand yen, you get to keep the plate, but we got so many plates. We don't... Ahhhh! Kanae Daub, who is this? Do you know? It's Pudding. That's the character? The character is Pudding, so therefore it's Pudding Cheesecake. Look at that delicious piece of cheesecake. Delicious. Oh, I get a new fork. Delicious berries on the side. A wonderful cutout of musical notes. A little dabble of sauce. Oh. It's so symmetrical because on the other side, there's also some dabble. Look at it glistening in the large windows that we luckily were sitting next to in the cafe. It does look really nice. So this cost about $10. And it seems to have a graham cracker crunch to it. Check it out. It's not bad. What do you think, Kanae Daub? Is it... What about the cost performance so far? So far, we've eaten about $50 worth of Pokémon food. Do you think it's worth... It's good enough for that price. Yeah, it's too small. But it's for kids. Yeah, but why should kids eat less so it should be cheaper? I'm gonna be honest with you though. We're in a very nice building. This is a brand new building on the fifth floor with a beautiful view of the city. I think it's worth it. But the decoration is very, very nice. Yeah. The decoration is very nice. It's so nice. I'm gonna take a picture of it. For Instagram! She likes Instagram. It's hard to get the perfect angle. It's all in the details. It's cute.

00:35:12 John Daub: Someone wrote, Kanae-san, are you a girlfriend? They have no idea. I'm his wife. My girlfriend? Really? Yeah. Hey Zato71, thank you. Thank you, Zato71. And Cody, enjoy lunch. Love the show. Thank you, Cody. We're here for you. Alright, let's try this. Let's try this. Kanae Daub, you get the first bite because ladies first. Are you my wife? Or okusan? Is it same? Alright. It's the same, guys. Alright, we cannot eat the plate. You're cutting her. Ah, pudding, why? Treat pudding right. Okay. Down the hatch. Sorry for the backlight. Beautiful view behind her. Five stars? Four? Five? She's giving us five stars. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Is it jiggly? It's not really jiggly. There's some softness to it. Check it out. It's not too jiggly. It's okay, eat it. I'm gonna go like this. I put some berries on her. Sorry, I'm not gonna eat it all. So there's a closer look at the crust with the cheesecake. Not bad. Not bad. It is a little jiggly. It's not really like a rare cheesecake. It's not a New York cheesecake. It's more like a Japanese cheesecake. It's fluffier. Yeah, it's fluffier so it's not as heavy. Probably, you know, if I was a kid, I wouldn't want the heavy cheesecake, but being an adult, I kinda do.

00:38:01 John Daub: Alright, so I like the mug. You can buy this for an extra thousand yen, so if you pay 800 yen, you get the coffee. If you pay 1800 yen, you get to keep the mug. I decided not to keep the mug. Because we'll be back, maybe. Show us your Eevee. Oh, you drank all your cafe latte! There's none left, right? I like the mug. We should've gotten the mug. Next time. We'll be back. That's right, if you do like this kind of content where we go into weird restaurants and try to eat, hit the like button, because that indicates that you like this kind of content. Now, I'm gonna just do a quick little walk around just to show you. Now, the Pokémon Cafe has a Halloween theme right now, which is pretty cool. For those of you who are joining us now, you can see they have little Halloween displays. So this is the Pokémon Halloween display. Kind of creepy. But if you're a kid, I don't think it's that creepy, really. But it's neat to see some of the decorations here inside of the cafe. And I believe that Pokémon Pikachu will be making an appearance. I'm not sure, but in all of the videos that I've seen, Pikachu makes an appearance out that door. Do you see? So there's inside of the kitchen. Out that door comes Pikachu. I'm guessing it'll be soon. The cafe now is really packed. You can see behind me, all the tables are full. Pikachu is coming, right? Chef Pikachu. In all the videos, Chef Pikachu is here. Can we ask? I wanna know when Chef Pikachu is coming. Chef Pikachu is coming. I wanna say hello to Pikachu.

00:40:20 John Daub: Vintendo, you should totally check out Final Fantasy XIV Cafe. Yeah. There's a lot of stuff in Akihabara. There's the Gundam Cafe. There's the AKB48 Cafe. There's tons of cafes in Akihabara. But this one is just kind of fun, I thought. This one is just kind of special. This is new. This department store, Takashimaya, is a new department store in Nihonbashi. And they put this up on the fifth floor. It's actually a really expensive neighborhood, so I can kind of understand why the price would be a little bit more. For families, it could be kind of expensive, but to be honest with you, how often are you going to be coming here? So I think that the price is worth what you get. It's kind of a pretty neat experience. But I'm waiting for Pikachu and Eevee to make an appearance. Apparently they make an appearance from the kitchen. And I heard that Pikachu actually cooked this. Alright? This is for Austin and all the kids out there. I heard that Pikachu actually cooked this. I cannot confirm, and yet I cannot deny that this was cooked by Pokémon. And the result is that it is a little bit more delicious. Oh, this is mine? Yep. Mmm. It'd be a lot better if you had cream on it. What's Kevin and Amy's? Kevin and Amy, should we ask? I think so. I'm going to ask and see if it's delicious. I'm not going to eat the camera. I will eat the berry cream.

00:42:29 John Daub: I think Pikachu will be coming soon. Hey, Trekaras is here! Trekaras, is there a Pokémon Love Hotel room? Um, I think actually, I think there is. In Tokyo, they have a room for just about everything. When I first came to Tokyo 20 years ago, there was like an Alice in Wonderland room. So they kind of have put together all the Hans Christian Andersen stories into sponsored rooms. Eric Halloran's in the house. Thanks for taking us with you. You're very welcome. Thanks for joining us. This is our six month anniversary date. And because we didn't take you on our honeymoon, we thought we would take you on this one. Now you might not come on the one year anniversary. I'm just saying that this is a little bit special. Six months we can share with you, okay? I'm going to ask him. Did Pikachu come? 35 minutes. Oh, 35 minutes? Thank you for waiting. Thank you. He said he's coming. Pikachu's coming at the 35 minutes after the hour. In 8 minutes. It's in 8 minutes. Can you wait for 8 minutes? No. I'm going to have to order a Pikachu more Pikachu food. Who thinks we should order more Pikachu food? Raise your hand. Is there anything else you want to eat, Kanae Daub? Some. I'm fine. No, no, really. I'm not hungry, but... You guys want to see some more Pikachu food? Naja Broad says more. Yes! Everyone's saying yes!

00:44:16 John Daub: What's this? We can order the souvenir. We can order souvenirs! Sorry, I just feel like a child right now. I'm just a child. Pokémon donuts, Pokémon pastels. Wait, this is a Pokémon donut? Yeah. Pokémon donuts. Pikachu, Pikachu smile, Eevee. These are donuts? These are monster ball donuts. Monster ball donuts? Can we order the donuts to eat now? Or is this mochikaeri (takeout)? We can order here. Let's get a donut. I totally could, yeah. Which one do you want? Pikachu donut or smile Pikachu, Eevee? Guys, I'm going to let the internet decide. Which one do you want? Do you want the smile Pikachu smile, the regular Pikachu, the Eevee donut, or the monster ball donut? People are saying the ball. Pokéball. Kanae Daub, you want to get the monster ball donut? And then some people, Little Boom are saying Pikachu smile. Pokémon ball donut. Alright, the ball is decided. What's the other one we're going to get? The Eevee must be Eevee. Monster ball. The smile, Pikachu smile. So far, the smile is winning. We're going to get both, but we're only going to get two. Eevee. It's a race now. You've got to watch the live stream and chat in order to see all this going on. Pikachu smile, smile, smile, smile. Looks like smile is going to win. Are you going to order smile? Alright, Pikachu smile. Eevee was a very close second. So one Pikachu smile and one monster Pokémon ball. I'm going to take out so we can eat here. Oh, wonderful. Thank you, Kanae Daub. One Pikachu smile. And then one monster ball donut. Really? Yeah, that's for you. Because somebody loves you. Thank you. You're getting a monster ball donut. That's what you do on your sixth month anniversary. You get the one you love a monster ball donut.

00:46:26 Kanae Daub: Yeah. It's eat until you explode. Is time okay? If you don't want to go, you can go. But you have to eat donuts. I can eat a donut. Really? She actually has to go to a ballet lesson. A classical ballet class. But you're going to see, so you're going to miss Pikachu. Yeah. If you have to go, you have to go. It's okay.

00:47:16 John Daub: So Pikachu's coming in about three minutes, everybody. And then we're going to get a little show. We've ordered the donuts. They should be here right before Pikachu comes. I'm hoping, anyways. But yeah, I hope I can say hello to Pikachu. Yeah. You can say hello to Pikachu, and if you have to go, you can go. I'll take care of it. Can we let Kanae Daub go? Is that okay, guys? Is that okay? People are saying okay, give a hug at Pikachu John. Okay, I'm going to try. Do you have to now? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hug is more important. Hug is more important. Hug is more important. Hug is more important. Hug is more important. Is that not just the awesomest thing, like, ever? Take that, internet. Smiling. Yeah, it's smiling. Kanae Daub, maybe we can get a picture. Okay. Okay. Oh, so you can't wait for Pikachu. Yeah. Alright, hold up the Pikachu to the camera once. Okay? Yeah. This is hard. Alright, ready? Three, two, one.

00:49:25 John Daub: Yes, the donut for Kanae Daub. Yes, the donut for Kanae Daub. Yes, the donut for Kanae Daub. Thank you. Alright, oh nice. Oh nice. It's like a head. She totally ate it, and I didn't, we didn't have you on the camera. Look, she's eating her, that's so cute. You're nibbling on Pikachu's ear. It's like a bread, John. It's just like bread. Yeah, it's just like bread. But it's good? Yeah, no more ears Pikachu. Sorry. Jose Barillas, John, you guys are so cute together. Thanks, Jose, thank you. No! What did you do? What did you do to Pikachu? You totally destroyed him. Here, I'm gonna give you the monster ball. What did she do? It's like a donut cake. Alright, Kanae Daub's gotta go, guys. Yep. Thanks for joining us, Kanae Daub. Are you okay? I'll be okay. We're gonna wait for the show, right? That's true, you are not alone. Yeah, I'm not alone. We have like one thousand people with me, so I'm not actually alone. Alright. Thanks, Kanae Daub. Alright, so you can watch Pikachu in the playback, okay? So say hello to Pikachu from Kanae Daub. Alright, I'll say hello to Pikachu. I'm gonna tell Pikachu, Kanae Daub says hello! Pikachu only speaks Japanese, right? Yeah. I'm gonna say... Thank you. She's gotta go, but we gotta stay for Pikachu. Sorry, you guys. Alright, chuchu. Bye. See you. Alright, bye bye.

00:52:04 John Daub: I'm happy to be back. Good, now we got rid of her. Just us now. Did not make it. I think I'm gonna buy her a mug or something. So when she comes back, I'll put it on the table. She'll be like, oh, we got a mug! So it's just us. But they said that Pikachu's coming at the 35. It should be any minute now, we're gonna see Pikachu make an appearance. You guys look okay? If Pikachu comes, I want him to see me look my best. Mmm. I sense his presence. No, I better not show Pikachu that I ate half his head. I guess I'll have to eat the whole thing. I was told that Pikachu would make an appearance at 35. Are you thirty? A little bit. Yay! No eyebrows. What are you looking at? I think Pikachu's coming soon, right? I don't see it. I'm still waiting, otherwise I'd be late. Yeah, they said thirty-five. Two minutes ago. Pikachu's two minutes late, everybody. Is that you? What is this? It's a dragon. What's inside? Is this a dragon? No, it's not. It's a dragon. It's a dragon. It is a really nice view. This is the view from the window of Nihonbashi in the distance. It's pretty nice. So you don't just get good food, you get a good view. Everybody get your cameras out.

00:54:35 John Daub: He's coming! Pikachu's coming! I'm filming it too. Pikachu's coming. Do you guys can you sense it? Wow, this is so exciting. Hey, swastikdas is here. Do not throw the monster ball at him. Actually, that would be pretty bad, huh? Is it okay that I ate half of the monster ball? Guys, get ready. Get ready. He's coming this way. They said, please stay seated. Pikachu is coming this way. Please stay seated. Don't get so excited and jump all up and down and stuff. That's what I would do. I'm gonna totally jump up and give him a big hug. Thank you. Last order. This is the moment that you've all been waiting for. Pikachu is making an appearance. With maybe Eevee. I'm not sure who's coming, in fact. All I know is that I heard rumors that Pikachu's the one who was cooking in the kitchen, and very shortly, an appearance is gonna be made by Pikachu himself. Raise your hand. There's the chef, right there. That's in stuffed format, but we're gonna get the real thing. The one that moves. Hey, Avery Lopez Baines is in the house. Pikachu, I choose you. Use Thunderbolt. He's coming. Apparently, he makes an appearance every 90 minutes or so, so everybody gets a chance to see. Oh, I see him! I see him! It's right in the center of the screen. Through it. I saw, I saw it! The kids are going crazy! Look in the center of your screen. Pikachu's coming. He's saying thank you to the kitchen staff. So maybe he's the master chef.

00:58:28 John Daub: Alright, Pikachu's now very, very close. We'll very shortly be rounding the corner and making an appearance. Oh! Very close, very close! Now he can see that yellow head! Stay in your chairs, everybody. Stay in your chairs. We were told to stay in your chairs. Alright, I see Pikachu. Oh, Kanae Daub's gonna wish she was here. Oh no, Kanae Daub's not here. Pikachu's like dancing over there. And the kids want to get up, but they can't get up. The staff is telling them to stay seated and to sit back. Look at the staff control. Because we know what's gonna happen. Pikachu will just be swarmed by kids who love him. And they've been eating him! Ah! Look at that! That's so cute! Arigato gozaimashita. How cool is that, guys? So apparently Pikachu will be making his way around, but there are a lot of kids over there, so I would stop there too first. The kids give you power. I'm just some adult. Silly adult. Oh, he's so bubbly! A Pikachu pose! The Pikachu pose! I wanna see the Pikachu pose over here! Alright, he's gonna be making his way over here. Everybody. Um, Pikachu, we were told, is gonna be making his way over here, so we're gonna get a Pikachu pose. Just hang out a little bit. We're not supposed to move. That's why. No hugs. Nobody gets to give Pikachu a hug. Unless it's these two over here. But I'm very much wanting to meet and greet with Pikachu. I have so much to say. I have more to talk to with Pikachu than I do with Santa Claus, to be honest with you.

01:01:13 John Daub: But he's still over there with those lucky kids. You know, there's always a select group, and there's always a group that gets left out, and so far that left out group is us. But I believe strongly that Pikachu will be here for us. If so, I'm gonna move the wide angle lens to the front if Pikachu comes closer so we have a really nice view of the extremely large toy. I know why Pikachu's not coming, because I ate half of him. Alright, Pikachu's gonna be coming around in a second. Avery writes in, no hugs? Well, that's strict. Kind of strict, but I don't know. A lot of these kids don't look like they washed their hands. I quickly ate Pikachu's donut face so he doesn't get upset. Or it. I don't know if Pikachu's a boy or a girl. Ben Miller writes in, can my girlfriend come say hello after the stream? If she's here real fast. She gotta be real fast, Ben. Pikachu. Pikachu. I love you. I love you. Pikachu. Come on, everybody. Oh, there's a meet and greet. It's for this room only, though. We're not in the VIP room. But they said that Pikachu will be making his way over here next. So just give Pikachu some time. It's Chef Pikachu, by the way. He's wearing a chef's outfit. As I said, Pikachu made all of the food that we ate today. Or supervised them, apparently. Oh, look at that kid. He's got FaceTime with Pikachu. He's so happy. Oh, and you can make a line. Look, everyone's made a line in a very orderly way where they can come and get a hug. So Ben and Avery, I was wrong. You can kind of give Pikachu a hug. It's a boy. You can tell by his tail. Okay. Thank you for that inside information. So we have Chef Pikachu and Detective Pikachu. That's right. I don't think it's a birthday party. I just think that it's people had reservations at 11 o'clock. And our reservation was for 10:40. We were one of the first people to get here.

01:04:23 John Daub: Alright, I think Pikachu's gonna be making his way over here. I was told. Anyways. If Pikachu does not make his way over here, I just happen to have a monster ball donut that I can throw at him. Just saying. Hurry. She is in the restaurant right now. Really? We're now waiting for Pikachu to make his way around to this area. I can't wait. I want to get up and do it. Um, question. Can you keep the mug? You can keep the mug if you pay for it. The mug costs about $10. So if you buy the coffee, it's 1,800 yen or about $17, $18 for the mug and the coffee. I think it's a pretty good deal, actually. It's something you can only get here and you can take it home. And if you don't like it, you can sell it on an auction site for double the price. If you get home. I'm just saying. I've seen the Pikachu mugs on auction sites for double the price. Oh look, the adults are waving goodbye. Alright, this is so cool. Now Pikachu is gonna... is shuffling over this way, guys. For those of you who have been waiting here for over an hour, I present to you a delayed presentation. Just like my livestream starting late. Are the large stuffed Pikachus behind me? They're behind you for sale. No, they're not. They're for taking pictures. Pikachu's right there. And we're making an appearance into this part of the restaurant. Pikachu, come on, come on, Pikachu! The kids cannot wait. There are kids going ballistic over there. I can hear them. She's announcing. Alright. Thank you. Yay! Pikachu's bouncing. Pikachu's doing a little shuffle action there. I can't see the Pikachu pose. Pikachu pose. I can't see the pose. But I can't see it! No! I can't see the Pikachu pose. I can't see it. It's cute, right? But I can't see. I can't see. Ah! He's shuffling over here! I knew it! He would not forget us. Did it. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Da, da, da, da. Da, da. Look at the ears moving! Did you see the ears moving? Did you see the ears moving? Pikachu. Pikachu. Pikachu. Pineapple rice was so good! Thank you, Pikachu!

01:09:50 John Daub: Oh, he's going to come and meet us! Pikachu's coming to meet us! Pikachu is going to come and meet us they said. Going to come around all the tables. I don't know what I'm supposed to say. I didn't really plan what to say. Now that Pikachu is coming I don't know what to tell him. What should I tell him? Quick quick quick tell me what I should say to Pikachu. Because I really don't know. I didn't realize that this would actually happen like this. Pikachu kawaii? No that's too childish. Something like more of an adult would say. What would an adult say to Pikachu? Reading the comments. Just slap him silly. No Deep Purple! The kids will attack me. Get in my pokeball. That's right. I choose you. Okay. Wax on wax off. Thanks Ralph. But Kanae Daub is going to be so upset. Pikachu I choose you. Okay. You know I heard that Eevee was also here. But Pikachu I choose you. And then throw the cookie at him. Is that what I'm supposed to do? Say I choose you and then throw the cookie at him. All the kids who are watching what would you say to Pikachu? And do you think Pikachu should replace Santa Claus? Because right now I'm thinking maybe yes. Although getting down the chimney is going to be pretty hard. Just saying. You're going to have to lose some weight there Pikachu. Santa should maybe lose some weight too. I'm just saying. Maybe a little bit less cookies. Sing the Pikachu song. Wave to the camera. He is already detective. I'm reading the comments in the streams to get ideas on what I should ask. Pikachu is fat. A little bit chubby. Slightly. Cute in a cute way. This is way too cute. Why is he yellow? Should I ask him? Then you get a chance to say hi to Pikachu. Hi Pikachu. So Pikachu is coming to all the tables. I'm really excited. Look at how happy the kids are. Try to touch his ear. Alright I'll try but I think that it's really high up there. The ear is really high up there. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that. Pikachu fits in a pokeball. Do not do it. I ate most of the pokeball. I don't know. I don't think I can cook anymore.

01:14:11 John Daub: Alright we're getting closer to. Anyway. Pikachu. Pikachu. Here's the check. Gotta pay that. Maybe I can just give Pikachu the money for the check and then he'll give me my change, right? Thank you. The bill is about $70. So if I give Pikachu $100, do you think he'll give me back my change? Or just pocket it all? Thank you. Can I give you a hand? Thank you. I'm your friend, Pikachu. Thank you. Pikachu. The people next door are waiting for you. Hello, I'm waiting for you. Hello, Pikachu. I choose you. I choose you. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I'm waiting for you. I said it. I choose you. I'll come back soon, so just give me your hand. Thank you. Thank you. Are you okay? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Pikachu, in this big area, I could only take a small picture. Pikachu pose. Pikachu pose. Pikachu pose. I'm going to show you Pikachu dance. If you don't mind, I'll do the Pikachu dance. He's going to do the Pikachu dance. Here we go. Pikachu. I made a mistake. Pikachu dance. Pikachu dance. I'll take a picture of you. I'll do my best. I'm not used to being friends. That was awesome. Hello. That was awesome. And I'm an adult. And this shouldn't be so cool, but it was way too cool. Thanks Pikachu. I'd be crying too if Pikachu had left. I miss... Pikachu opened his mouth?

01:17:40 John Daub: Alright, so with that, we can go. That was cute. So in total, this meal cost 7,063 yen, which is about 60 dollars. But I got to drink Pikachu latte, eat a donut. Kanae Daub had a wonderful meal. Pretty good curry rice. We also had a cheesecake. And we had an amazing view. Check out the view from here. This is looking down at Nihonbashi. Check it out. Beautiful big windows at Nihonbashi. Amazing view of the city center from here. Very big windows. Really spacious view. And it's a pretty nice cafe on the inside. So I got to say, the Pokémon Cafe experience is pretty good. I got to give it two thumbs up. How do I do that with the gimbal? One, two! Yeah! Kanae Daub said we're allowed to keep these two, but she got food all over hers. It looked better an hour ago. Alright. So we can get out of here. Let me pack up my stuff and we're gonna go and I'm gonna show you the entrance. Pikachu's going, they said. That's ironic, because we are too. Pikachu! Pikachu's on the move. Going back to the kitchen to finish some orders. How cool is that, guys? How cool is that? Once in a lifetime, unless you live down the street like I do, then maybe twice. Either way, I made an advanced reservation a month in advance and got a chance to eat here. Oh look, they got the Pikachu coffee too. Alright guys, so I'm gonna go pay the bill. Kanae Daub has left. Now if you're lucky, some information on this, if you're lucky, a reservation might open up. If somebody cancels, a reservation can open up and I've seen reservations like three or four days that were open up, but the time might be inconvenient. So just, uh, oh hello! Hi! My friends are asking me to come up to say hi to you. Oh, Ben? Yes. Okay, yeah, hey Ben, there she is. Thank you so much for your cool video. Oh, you're welcome. Bring it in. Thank you. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Did you get to see the show? Yeah, very cool. Well, I wanted to say hi. Yeah, thanks for saying hi. That was nice. Thank you so much. Oh, he's on his way out. Oh, the register's right there. Bye bye Pikachu! Ciao. Yeah, that's Ben's girlfriend.

01:21:29 John Daub: Okay guys, here are the donuts from earlier that you can buy. These are $24 and they will last for a while so you can take these home. This might be a good daiyō (obligation gift) for the Patreon supporters actually. Oh, check it out! It's a Pikachu cookie. These are good until December 21st. So it's a good two months. Oh, check it out! Look at it! The Pikachu dolls are 2,000 yen. And he has little Pikachu pancakes in there. And this Pikachu one has a Pikachu curry rice. That's pretty cool. That's what I ate for lunch too. So there you go. That's pretty much the Pokémon Cafe experience. It's a lot of fun. You can also buy souvenirs here which is what I'll do later. In fact, I might get... Should I get Kanae Daub one of these plushies? Should I get Kanae Daub this one? Alright, I'm gonna get Kanae Daub this one, okay? So I'll get this for Kanae Daub because she did not see Pikachu so I'm gonna get that for Kanae Daub. I'm going to see Kanae Daub. She couldn't see me so I will go to see her. Choo choo choo. Alright. This is the stuff that we do. That Pikachu is evil, right, Sen Olev Pax? You might be right about that. I know that these are evil. Check out these Pikachu Halloween jack-o'-lanterns. I want to thank everybody who is watching this. How much is the bill? It's gonna be about 9,000 yen or about 88 dollars. But I want to thank everybody here for supporting. This is going towards the bill. This comes out of your Super Chats and I appreciate the support. You made this happen. And yeah. There you go. There's the bill. I'm gonna pay with that. So thank you all. It was totally worth it. It was worth it. Yeah. I think it was because it was just a cool experience. I want to show you the entrance. So I'm just gonna pay really quickly. For those of you who have been watching for an hour and a half, this could be better than a movie. Alright? This is real life, everybody. This is live. This is happening as we speak. No thank you, John, for the experience. Blazing Rose Ninja. Maybe choo-choo to the Pikachu train. Choo-choo! That's for Avery. You're very welcome. Diana writes in a little expensive, maybe. But the experience is a lot of fun, I think. And it's not something you do every day. It's just something special. Could you argue with the space? I can't argue with that. Kanae Daub has a ballet practice. She's doing a ballet practice. I'm actually gonna have to get an official receipt, too. Oh, they got glasses! They have Pikachu glasses. Should I get one of those? Best time to go is in the morning or afternoon. I'd say go first thing in the morning because it's completely empty, the restaurant is, so it's kinda nice if you go first thing in the morning. But you have to wait a little while for the Pikachu show. So maybe 9 o'clock is the best time. Sorry, sorry. Either 10:40 or 11 o'clock is the best time. And now that Pikachu's gone, a lot of people have left the restaurant. A lot of people have left and everyone's paying right now.

01:27:54 John Daub: In a bag. Arigato gozaimashita. Gochisousama deshita. Here we are at the entrance everybody! And this means that we are ending! We are ending a livestream! This was an amazing experience. Behind me you can see the entrance to the Pokémon Cafe. Tasty Chronicles, a little something towards Kanae Daub's plushie. Thank you! Kanae Daub's gonna love this. I'll see if I can get on Instagram maybe some videos. Here is the entrance. So you will come out of the elevator here onto the fifth floor and the first thing you see is this! Which is pretty cool. It's got a time on here and this is the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX and there's a big huge Pokémon and Pikachu with the top hat over there. And here's the entrance to the Pokémon Cafe. That's where we entered. I was actually the other people that were waiting in line were going for the DX in sort of the Pokémon Center. We were the first ones in line to go to the cafe. And you can see they write the time of the next reservation. So you have to have a reservation number and they'll have your name ready for you. Back there is the Pokémon Center. Let me just take a quick look in there for those of you've been watching. This is for the Pokémon Center. Just a very quick look in here. So you can see inside there is a whole new world. Do you see inside there? Yeah. It's a Pokémon world, okay? That's a lot of plushies. Maybe I should have gotten Kanae Daub something from in there. That looks like Totoro. That can't be. I need glasses maybe. That can't be Totoro, that's Disney. Alright everybody, I just want to say thank you so much for supporting the show. That was pretty cool of you. The Super Chats helped a lot and it'll give me a chance to take Kanae Daub out to a non-broadcast dinner as well. A little bit of the artwork. A little bit of the artwork around the walls here. It's pretty nice. Check that out. Oh, there's Eevee. Alright. I'm out of here. Thanks everybody. Have a good day. Have a good night wherever you are in the world. I hope you enjoyed this. This was a pretty good lunch. I'm impressed. I'm impressed. I gotta give this like four stars out of five just because it's a little bit pricey but the experience was really fun and I'm glad that Pikachu made an appearance, gave us a little bit of face time, actually came and said hi to us which is fun. Came to every single table. I like that. If you have kids that coming here, they get a chance to meet Pikachu and that's a big deal for them in their world and my world's pretty big but to meet Pikachu was a pretty cool experience. I've never done that before and I'm glad that I did and I got videos and pictures that I'll put on Instagram later. Hit the like button if you like this. There's 850 of you watching still and I want to have things for that. Hit the like button if you enjoy this kind of content and subscribe if you want and I guess click the notification bell. So you get the updates exactly when I go live. For me, that's it. The top floor you can only go down. See everybody. I'm not going to eat the camera. Sometimes the live stream stuff is weird. Thanks Lily. Oh, that's my elevator. Here it is. All right guys. Bye. Bye. Bye.
