Alpine route extra

Overview

In this short extra clip from the Only in Japan Go channel, John Daub shares a brief update while traveling back from the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Filmed from inside a bus descending the mountain, the video offers viewers a glimpse of the famous snow walls (yuki no otani) and the scale of the tourist transport involved in navigating this iconic route.

John takes advantage of a fleeting 4G signal to upload a quick status update before connectivity disappears in the mountain tunnels. He highlights the sheer size of the bus, the number of tourists onboard, and the scenic views visible through the windows. The clip serves as a practical look at the logistics of traversing the Alpine Route during the spring season.
